Bachelor of Applied Science in Microelectronic Manufacturing (MEMS)
Lorain County Community College made history in 2018, becoming the first community college in Ohio to offer a Bachelor of Applied Science in Microelectronic Manufacturing (MEMS). The program was built in partnership with local advanced manufacturing companies and driven by their need for experienced workers. That employer-driven approach has made our MEMS program one of LCCC’s most successful when it comes to job placement. And at the May 2021 commencement, three students became the first graduates of this bachelor’s degree program - and all three had jobs secured before they graduated.
